- Proverbs 24:23-25 presents the first saying, asserting (23) these also are the sayings of the wise: It is not wholesome (tob, Kittel, Bib. Hebr., p. 1185 and pp. 2 in citing Gen. 1:31 of the wholesome [ tob] universe) to show partiality (nakar, B. D. B., A Heb.-Eng. Lex. of the O. T., p. 647-648; Hiphil = causative) of persons in judgment (mishpat , Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 1048-1049); (24) saying to the wicked, "You (emph. pron.) are righteous!", him will the local folk (am, Ibid., Kittel; R. B. Girdlestone, Syns. of the O. - Proverbs 24:26 gives the second saying, claiming lips (sapah, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 973-974) he kisses (nashaq, Ibid., p. 676) who brings back [answers] ( shub, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 996-100; Hipil = causative) words of straightforwardness (nakoha, Ibid., p. 647) [He who gives a straightforward answer gives a kiss (of love) right on the lips (versus an ordinary greeting kiss on the cheek)].
- Proverbs 24:27 presents the third saying, asserting prepare, establish, make ready (kun, Ibid., p. 465-467; Hipil = causative) with your outside [field] (hus, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 299-300) occupation, work ( mela'kah, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 521-522); afterwards (emph. position of the adverb before the verb; ahar, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 29-30) build your house ["house" can mean either a literal house construction or a figurative family line, and here, it likely means both!].
- Proverbs 24:28 presents the fourth saying, stating, do not be a cause less (hinam, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 336) witness against your neighbor, or deceive (patah , Ibid., p. 834; Piel = intensive) with your lips.

B., p. 81-84) he did to me, thus (ken, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., p. 485-487)I will do unto him; I will pay back (shub, cf. Pr. 24:26; Hiphil = causative) to a nobleman (ish, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., Girdlestone, p. 45-50) the like of' ( ke, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 453-456) his deed (po'al, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 821)."

B., p. 341) sense (ESV), moral character (leb, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 524-525), (31) and behold! Thistles ( qimos, Ibid., p. 888) had [grown] up (alah, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 748-750) all over it [had overgrown it], its face [ ground surface] was totally covered ( kasah, Ibid., p. 491-492; Pual = intensive passive) with chickpea weed (harul, Ibid., p. 355), and its enclosing wall (gader, Ibid., p. 154-155) of stone ( eben, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. B., p. 6-7) was torn down (haram, Ibid., p. 248-249; Niphal = passive). (32) I myself (emph. pron.) beheld [it] ( hazah, Ibid., p. 302); I set (sh(ee)t, Ibid., p. 1011) my heart [I reflected]; I saw (ra'ah, Ibid., Kittel; Ibid., B. D. Lesson Application: May we align with God's fixed moral order in each of these realms for blessing.
