APPLYING THE BELIEVER'S POSITIONAL RICHES IN CHRIST
Part XXV: Applying The Truth That Believers Are Within The Much More Care Of God
  1. Introduction
    1. So many things can go wrong in life that, if we should so choose, we could lie awake at night getting ulcers just stewing about them!
    2. A blessed solution to this challenge is found in applying one of the 33 positional truths that take hold of the believer the instant he trusts in Christ. This truth is that he is placed within the Much More Care of God, cf. Lewis S. Chafer, Systematic Theology, vol. III, "Soteriology," p. 259-261. We view that truth with its Scripture applications so we can learn how to relax and rest in God's care in our lives:
  2. Applying The Truth That Believers Are Within The Much More Care Of God.
    1. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's love so that he will be raptured before God's wrath is poured out on the earth in the Great Tribulation, and he will not enter hell, Rom ans 5:8-9.
    2. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's unmerited favor, or His grace:
      1. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to his salvation: in the eternal ages to come, God will display His great grace toward the believer in having saved him from sin and hell, Eph. 2:7-9.
      2. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to his salvation's security: by faith in Christ, the believer stands ensphered in God's grace so he can live as justifed by God , Romans 5:2.
      3. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to his Christian service:
        1. Just as the Father sent His Son into the world to minister in Christ's earthly life, so Christ has in turn sent the believer out into the world to serve God's will, John 17:18.
        2. That being so, the Lord promises to reveal His presence and hence enabling for the believer to accomplish his God-sending mission of Christian service wherever God leads him, Matt. 28:19-20.
      4. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to his instruction in the things of God: God's grace instructs believers to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts so as to live self-controlled, upright, godly lives in this present age as they look for Christ's glorious appearing, Titus 2:12-13 ESV.
    3. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's power relative to others and to himself:
      1. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to God's power being extended to rule in the affairs of every spirit being in the universe, every unsaved human on earth and every believer in the Church so that a given believer can function on earth as he is assigned by God to do so, Eph. 1:19-23.
      2. Also, the believer is so set in the Much More Care Of God that God's power works in the believer himself to make him both to will and then do that will of God, Phil. 2:13. All the believer must do is yield to God's work in his being and that believer will want to do and then actually do God's will.
    4. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's faithfulness regarding his earthly life:
      1. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to his material needs in this life: God's promise never to leave nor to forsake the believer in Hebrews 13:5-6 is set against the backdrop of the believer's temptation to lust for material goods rather than being content with what he possesses, and against the backdrop of his fearing what harm another party could do to his material realm.
      2. The believer is within the Much More Care of God relative to God's promise to disciple him properly throughout his Christian life, Philippians 1:6 and 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.
    5. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's peace relative to relationship problems that may arise, John 14:21-26, 27 re: the believer's relationship with Christ; Col. 3:13-14, 15 re: the believer's relationship with other believers; John 16:33 re: the believer's relationship with the ungodly.
    6. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of God's consolation relative to functioning well in the face of upsetting false teachers and their false teachings, 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17, 1-2, 3-15.
    7. In the Much More Care of God, the believer is an object of Christ's constant intercession to the Father in his behalf as it relates to his own weaknesses and sins, Romans 8:34; Hebrews 7:25; 9:24.
Lesson: The believer need not worry what might go wrong in life; being in Christ, he is in the Much More Care of God so that all he needs to live and to do God's will is underwritten by Almighty God.

Application: May we who trust in Christ live RELAXED lives, trusting in His COMPREHENSIVE Much More Care of us in every way needed so we can do the will of God in our lives!
